ARTIST STATEMENT

In my photographic series Water and Mist, I seek to create images that

reveal beauty and mystery in a special moment when change is

occurring in time. Water and Mist was selected as the theme of the

series because water is the most common substance on earth and one

that is constantly in transition. Water changes to mist, rain, snow,

and ice. Since we consist primarily of water, Water and Mist is used

as metaphor to reflect an awareness that the transitions we see in the

outer world are simultaneously happening in our inner world.
